Today, Stereo Lab is a repair shop and retail outlet for quality, used vintage audio gear. In 1970 Stereo Lab began selling higher end audio gear in central Ohio, they eventually grew into three locations in Columbus, two in Cincinnati and one in Wheeling, WVA. In 1996 the Stereo Lab retail stores closed and three men from the service department went into business as Stereo Lab Service located in the Beechwold neighborhood of Columbus on Indianola, Ave.
23 year years later in 2019, Stereo Lab service was purchased by Scott Freshour of Columbus Vintage Audio. Stereo Lab Service is now, once again simply Stereo Lab and we look forward to another 23 years of service, support and sales of vintage audio equipment.
Our technicians have over 150 years of experience working on these older pieces. Our senior tech has been working on gear for almost 50 years. You can trust us to get it right.
We still operate Columbus Vintage Audio with our sales outlet at the fabulous Heritage Square Antique Mall on Brice Rd. in Columbus. At the mall location, find antique and vintage radio as well as a good selection of vintage audio gear and speakers , all at competitive pricing.
